The Southeastern Amateur is a top-level amateur golf tournament with a rich history dating back to 1922 - when the tournament was created by Fred Haskins. Each year, the Southeastern Amateur has the great honor of hosting many of the nations top amateur golfers, from Division I NCAA National Champions to the nations top Mid-Amateurs. 

2024 Qualifier Schedule and Information

Entries for the Qualifier will open on June 14, 2024!

 Schedule of Events:

Practice Rounds Players are allowed one practice round.

Please call CC of Columbus Golf Shop at 706-322-6869 to schedule your practice round.

Golf carts are not included in the practice round.

Sunday, July 21st Practice areas will open at 6:30 am.

Starting times will begin at 7:30 am.

Pairings and starting times will be available on our website Friday, July 19th at 9:00 am.

Grab ‘n Go lunch at the Halfway House from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Golf carts are included in your entry fee and are required for all players

2024 SOUTHEASTERN AMATEUR OPEN QUALIFIER

Player Registration: There will be no formal player registration. Players need to report to the first tee at least 10 minutes prior to their starting time.

Practice Rounds: Players will be allowed one practice round. To schedule your practice round tee time, please call the CC of Columbus Golf Shop at 706-322-6869. Players are reminded that only one ball may be played from the teeing grounds during practice rounds, and players must play from the markers as they are found on the course.

Starting Times: starting times will be posted on Friday, July 19th by 9:00 am at www.southeasternamateur.com.

Format: The format is 18 holes of stroke play. The top 3 finishers will earn a spot in the 95th Southeastern Amateur. We will also determine a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd alternate. Any ties for qualifying positions or alternates will be determined by sudden death play-off.

Automotive Transportation: Automotive transportation is required during the qualifier.

Spectator Carts: Due to a limited number of golf carts, spectator carts will not be allowed for the qualifier.

Dress Code: Proper golf attire will be required. All players must have a shirt with a collar, and if shorts are worn they should be of bermuda length. Cargo shorts are not allowed. Shirts must remain tucked in and hats are to be worn properly.

Practice Areas: The driving range and short game practice areas will open one hour prior to the first starting time.

Club Amenities: The Halfway House will be open for participants and their families on a cash/credit card basis. 

Announcement: During this event, there will be NO public address system used to call players to the tee. All players are advised to check in with the starter at their assigned tee (ready to play) at least 10 minutes prior to their assigned time. 

Unbecoming Conduct: Unbecoming conduct is, but not limited to: profanity, throwing equipment in anger, destruction of club property, vulgar or physical abuse to any person. A player who is in violation may receive one warning from a specified official. A second violation will result in disqualification of the player.

Pace of Play Policy: The Southeastern Amateur Pace of Play Policy is in effect for the duration of the 95th Southeastern Amateur Tournament.  The SE AM Pace of Play Policy will be strictly enforced throughout the event.
