80TH SOUTHEASTERN AMATEUR TOURNAMENT
Qualifier Practice Round: Players who have signed up for the Southeastern Amateur Qualifier will be afforded one practice round to be played during the week prior to the qualifier. If you choose to use a golf cart for this practice round, an additional fee will apply.
Qualifier Withdrawal: A paperwork fee of $10.00 will be applied to any player withdrawing before June 11th, 2009. Qualifier participants who withdraw after June 11th will not receive a refund.
Player Withdrawal: If an entrant withdraws after 5 p.m. (EDT) on May 1st, NO REFUNDS will be given.
The only exception is qualifiers for the 2009 United States Open.
Player Registration: Registration will be on Wednesday, June 17th between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Players may call the Golf Shop at
(706) 322-6869 to register. Failure to register with the Southeastern Tournament Committee may result in forfeiture of entry.
Practice Rounds: Practice round starting times are available on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesday, June 16th, before 11:30
a.m. and on Wednesday, June 17th after 10:00 a.m. Player’s are reminded that only one ball may be played from the teeing
grounds during practice rounds, and players must play from the markers as they are found on the course.
Starting Times: Thursday starting times will be posted at player registration at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17th. Starting times for
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday’s round will be posted one hour after the completion of play. The Golf Shop will remain open until 7:00
p.m. for starting time information. The Golf Shop number is (706) 322-6869. Starting times and pairings will also be available at our
event website www.southeasternamateur.com.
Format: The format is 72 holes of stroke play. We will conduct our Annual Am/Am Event during Round 1. Players will be paired
with two Sponsor Patrons during the first round.
Aflac Am/Am Reception: There will be a mandatory dinner reception for players and Sponsor Patrons after the completion of Round 1.
SPORT COATS and SLACKS are required for the reception.
Annual Friday Night Dinner There will be dinner available after completion of your round, or after your afternoon practice in the mixed grill
downstairs. Come in, get in the Air Conditioning, have a great free meal (and a beverage), and watch some of the US Open. Tournament clothing allowed.
Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the top 15 finishers and ties, as well as an exemption into the 81st Southeastern Amateur
Tournament. The champions name will be engraved in the Jordan/Martin perpetual trophy.
Dress Code: Proper golf attire will be required. All players must have a shirt with a collar, and if shorts are worn they should be of
bermuda length. Shirt tails must remain tucked in at all times and hats are to be worn properly.
Practice Areas: During Tuesday’s Practice round the driving range and short game area will close to players from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. and for the day at 4:45 p.m. The driving range and short game practice areas will open 1 hour prior to the first starting time. The
practice areas will close for approximately 30 minutes after the final starting time each day to allow relocation to the east practice tee.
When the practice area is set up on the east tee, players may practice with IRONS ONLY. The driving range will close promptly at 7
p.m. during the practice round and tournament rounds.
Automotive Transportation: Automotive transportation is optional and is not included in your entry fee. Players electing to use
automotive transportation must register first in the Golf Shop. The fee will be $20.00 per round. Groups are limited to a maximum of
two carts. If only two players in the group are riding, those players MUST share the same cart.
Club Amenities: The Men’s Grill, Poolside Snack Bar, and Halfway House will be open for participants and their families’ use on a
cash basis. The Fitness Center may be used at no charge.
Announcement: During this event, there will be NO public address system used to call players to the tee. All players are advised to
check with the starter at their assigned tee (ready to play) at least 10 minutes prior to their assigned time. The note to Rule 6-3a is in
effect.
Unbecoming Conduct: Unbecoming conduct is, but not limited to: profanity, throwing equipment in anger, destruction of club
property, vulgar or physical abuse to any person. A player is who is in violation may receive one warning from a specified official. A
second violation will result in disqualification of the player.
Housing: A limited amount of private housing will be provided. You must specify on the entry form if you will need housing. Players
will be given private housing on a space available basis.
Pace of Play Policy: The Georgia State Golf Association Pace of Play Policy is in effect for the duration of the 80th Southeastern
Amateur Tournament. The GSGA Pace of Play Policy will be strictly enforced throughout this year’s event.
