Mitch Krywulycz went wire to wire in 2008, moving from outside the top 1000 SPWAR ranking to 742.

Mitch, who hails from Sydney, Australia is a truly great guy. A guy that we at the Country Club of Columbus are proud to call our 2008 Southeastern Amateur champion.
Mitch plays for the Augusta State Jaguars and will be in his senior year in the fall where the Haskins Commission is looking for big things out of Mitch!
Interestingly enough, Mitch has played in the Southeastern a couple of times and placed around the top 25 each time. But this year was different. Krywulycz fired an opening round 66 which propelled his Am/Am team to victory and himself out to a one stroke lead. After a mediocre round on Friday, Mitch caught fire over the weekend and attributed it to a slight mental adjustment. He shot 67-67 on the final two days to win the 79th playing of the Southeastern Amateur by five strokes.
The Southeastern Amateur Committee would like to say great playing mate!
